Bangkok
This is the concrete infrastructure of the Bangkok Sky Train (BTS) system. You take the Sky Train to the Chao Phraya River.
You line up here for the brand new IconSiam mall shuttle boats that take you to the other side of the river to the Mall Dock. (All the river boat shuttles to hotels and shopping areas are free.)
There are a number of crazy looking buildings in Bangkok.
One 52-story and one 74-story residential tower. The mall has 10 floors.
The new flagship Apple Store gets prime real estate with a full open deck looking out over the river above the Bottega Vaneta, Louis Vuitton and Cartier stores.
The Apple logo on the large TV screen is the Thai letter for “A.”
The True (mobile phone) Company has a massive two-story store. The video (bottom of this page) shows the depth of it.
There are 100 listed restaurants in this mall.
Including an artificial river for authentic River Market foods. Except you can see the bottom of this river!
Mostly high-end shopping here.
Even the 7-Eleven is spiffy.
Even though Asia doesn’t celebrate Christmas, everybody loves cool light displays.
Back on the free shuttle boat to the Sky Train.
